Privacy policy
How we collect, store, and use your data.
What data we collect
We collect three categories of data: (1) anonymised analytics on page views, scroll depth, and time-on-page; (2) email addresses if you subscribe to the blog; (3) comments on blog posts (with your name and email if you choose to leave them). We do not collect KYC data, contest entries, or bank details — those are with the fantasy platform, not with us.
How we use the data
Analytics data informs editorial decisions — which pages are read, which pages are skipped, which topics get engagement. Email addresses are used to deliver the blog updates. Comments data is displayed publicly on the relevant blog post. We do not sell any data to third parties.
KYC flow for privacy
Cookies and tracking
We use Google Analytics for anonymised page-view tracking. The analytics cookies are first-party and contain no personally identifiable information. We do not use advertising cookies (no ad network tracking on this site). Localstorage is used for the dark-mode toggle and the comparison table sort preferences.

Third-party services
Three third-party services: (1) Google Analytics for page views; (2) a CDN for fast image and CSS delivery; (3) an email service provider for blog subscriptions. Each has its own privacy policy. We have vetted all three for GDPR compliance.
Responsible play data privacy
Data retention
Analytics data is retained for 26 months by Google Analytics default. Email subscription data is retained until you unsubscribe. Comments are retained indefinitely on the relevant post. We do not back up data across multiple systems; the primary store is the live database.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your comment data, your email subscription, or your analytics-derived profile at any time. Email us with the request; we action within 7 days. You can also request a copy of all data we hold about you.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a child, we delete it within 7 days.
Security
We use HTTPS for all data transmission. The database is encrypted at rest. Access to data is limited to the editorial team on a need-to-know basis. We have not experienced a data breach; if we do, we notify affected users within 72 hours.
Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when our data practices change. Material changes are notified via the blog or email. The current version is dated 2026-07-06. Last revised 2026-07-06.
